The industry's first PVD coating on inner surface of deep hole "diXis®"

For general PVD coatings, metal ions are emitted radially, so a ceramic protective film cannot be formed deep in the hole. The diXis® transforms metal ions into a beam by using electromagnetic coils to irradiate the holes of the workpiece in parallel and at high density, and forms a thin film on the inner surface of the holes.

Powder sintering molding and cold forging are formed by punching machines and dies. Generally, it is difficult to coat the inside of the die.Through the coating treatment of diXis®, the wear of the inner surface of the mold can be greatly improved.

When the film thickness target is set at 3µm, the film thickness distribution of diXis® in the hole with length (L)/hole diameter (D) ≦ 7 is 1.5~3µm.
